About this opportunity
The Department of the Navy has issued a Special Notice related to an intent to limit sources for Port Security Barrier (PSB) parts and connectors. The Supervisor of Shipbuilding Newport News (SUPSHIPNN) Code 413 Procurement Branch plans to acquire specific PSB parts, including navigation lights and connectors, from one of two identified licensed sources, J.F. Brennan Company, Inc. and Oceanetics.
The purpose of this Special Notice is to retain the integrity of the PSB system by sourcing the required parts from the two vendors that were previously identified as the licensed contractors when SUPSHIPNN originally purchased the barrier system. The Special Notice is not a request for offers, but rather an opportunity for other potential vendors to provide documentation indicating their capability to supply the required products or equivalents. Any information received within 3 days of the publication of this notice will be reviewed by the government to determine if a competitive procurement would be in their best interest. Eligible contractors must provide details such as company name, address, contact information, CAGE code, and business size.
