About this opportunity
The U.S. Army Corps of Engineers Engineering District Sacramento published an Intent to Consolidate Notice regarding demolition services for Hill Air Force Base in Utah. The Notice announced plans to consolidate orders for the demolition of six buildings located across four discrete sites on Hill AFB into a single contract.
The Notice aims to reduce administrative costs by consolidating the demolition services requirement, which includes abatement of asbestos and other regulated materials, utility disconnections, water main reconfiguration, debris disposal and grading. Interested contractors must submit proposals by August 15, 2022, as the consolidated requirement will be set aside for small businesses classified under NAICS code 238910 with a size standard of $16.5 million. Market research identified at least two qualified and interested small businesses for this opportunity. Awarding a single contract is estimated to lower costs by $60,000 compared to separate contracts for each building location.
