About this opportunity
The Department of the Navy Naval Supply Systems Command is seeking to procure internal control assemblies and similar replacement parts under NSN 7G-5975-014887590, TDP VER 003, with a quantity requirement of 3 each units for delivery FOB origin. This procurement falls under the electrical hardware and supplies category and involves repair and modification activities. The government intends to negotiate with only one source under FAR 6.302-1 authority, though all responsible sources may express interest and demonstrate their capability to respond to the requirement. Interested parties have 45 days from the publication date to submit proposals, quotations, or capability statements, with a shortened 30-day window if award is issued under an existing Basic Ordering Agreement. The government will consider all responses received within the specified timeframe, though the decision not to compete this contract remains at the government's sole discretion.
This opportunity is designated as a total small business set-aside, limiting participation to qualified small business entities. The pre-solicitation notice was posted on May 2, 2025, with a due date of September 5, 2025, providing approximately four months for interested parties to prepare and submit their responses. No specific incumbent contractor or current service provider is identified in the notice, and no award values or budget ranges are disclosed at this pre-solicitation stage. Technical documentation including military specifications, standards, and qualified products lists are available through the DoD Single Stock Point and ASSIST-Online systems, though patterns, drawings, and deviation lists must be obtained through separate channels. The limited quantity of 3 units suggests this is a specialized replacement parts procurement rather than a large-scale acquisition.
