About this opportunity
NASA's Shared Services Center has issued a Special Notice announcing its intent to award a sole source contract for instrumentation equipment needed for small tribology laboratories. The procurement involves acquiring accelerometers and associated signal conditioners to serve as direct drop-in replacements for existing obsolete sensors at NASA Glenn Research Center. NASA intends to award this contract to PCB PIEZOTRONICS OF NORTH CAROLINA, INC., which has been determined to be the sole provider capable of supplying the required instrumentation. The procurement will be conducted under FAR Parts 12 and 13 for commercial items and services, with a NAICS code of 334519 for Other Measuring and Controlling Device Manufacturing. The contract performance will take place at NASA Glenn Research Center, with NASA/NSSC serving as the procuring center.

Interested parties must submit written capability statements and qualifications to the designated procurement specialist by 4:00 PM Central Standard Time on August 7, 2025, just two days after the notice was posted.
