About this opportunity
The U.S. Embassy in Djibouti is seeking a contractor to perform a comprehensive design-build installation of a new interior potable water storage tank under RFQ Number 19DJ1025Q0016. The project involves replacing an existing damaged water storage tank with a new 6,000-gallon modular Glass Reinforced Plastic (GRP) tank that must meet NSF/ANSI 61 certification, seismic standards, and corrosion protection requirements. The contractor must provide complete services including tank removal, design, installation, testing, and disinfection of the new potable water storage system within the embassy's water treatment facility. The government intends to award the contract to the responsible company submitting the lowest-priced acceptable quotation based on initial submissions without discussions, though discussions may be held if necessary. A mandatory pre-quotation conference is scheduled for September 9, 2025, at 10:00 a.m., with quotations due by September 18, 2025, at 4:30 p.m., and all submissions must be valid for at least four months from receipt.
This solicitation does not utilize any set-aside designations and is open to all qualified contractors. No incumbent contractors or current service providers are mentioned in the documentation. While specific contract values are not disclosed in the available materials, the project involves replacing a substantial 6,000-gallon capacity water storage system requiring specialized technical expertise and compliance with federal standards. Contractors must be registered in the System for Award Management (SAM) and submit both technical and financial proposals electronically to the embassy procurement team. The work will be performed at the U.S. Embassy premises in Haramous, Djibouti, requiring contractors to coordinate site access and comply with embassy security protocols throughout the project duration.
