About this opportunity
The Department of the Army Materiel Command Contracting Command Detroit Arsenal, located at Warren (ACC Warren), is conducting market research to solicit sources for Inland Petroleum Distribution Systems (IPDS) Type C Hoses to support Sierra Army Depot. This pre-solicitation notice represents an early-stage procurement designed to gather information from potential suppliers regarding their capability to meet the government's hose supply requirements. The notice indicates the government will evaluate respondents' capacity to deliver the specified hose products and requests that interested suppliers provide detailed responses to the Sources Sought Questions by November 13, 2025. Respondents are encouraged to clearly mark any trade secret or confidential information in their submissions using the restrictive legend "CONFIDENTIAL" to ensure proper protection under 18 U.S.C. Section 1905. This market research phase is critical for the government to understand available sources and supplier capabilities before proceeding to formal solicitation.
The procurement carries no set-aside designation and is open to all qualified suppliers in the Rubber and Plastics Hoses and Belting Manufacturing industry (NAICS 326220). The government requires an estimated quantity of 320 hoses, with no incumbent contractor information provided in the pre-solicitation notice. Notably, the hoses will be supplied without fittings, as Sierra Army Depot personnel will attach fittings upon receipt of the products. No specific award value or budget ceiling is disclosed in this market research phase, as the primary objective is to identify capable sources and gather preliminary information about supplier availability and production capacity. The questions response deadline of November 13, 2025 allows interested companies approximately one week to submit their initial capability information to the government.
