About this opportunity

Army Contracting Command Redstone Arsenal (ACC Redstone) issued a Special Notice announcing an Industry Day on the Maneuver-Short Range Air Defense (MSHORAD) Increment 4 program, to be held 27-28 October 2026, with online registration due 23 October 2026. No set-aside is used, and attendance is voluntary. Participation in any subsequent procurement is not contingent on attendance, and the Government will not reimburse travel or preparation costs. The event provides a technical and programmatic overview of prospective acquisition and development opportunities under the Portfolio Acquisition Executive (PAE) Fires and Portfolio Management Executive (PME) Defensive Fires. The primary audience is main system integrators, and subsystem and technology suppliers such as sensor, effector, motion system, remote weapon station, and C2 providers are also invited. The Registration Details file limits attendance to three representatives per organization. The Government's Briefing Charts and attendee list were attached on 6 November 2026, and in-person check-in begins at 0800 on 27 October 2026. M-SHORAD Inc 4 is a vehicle-agnostic palletized air defense system built on a Modular Open Systems Approach to defeat Group 1-3 unmanned aircraft systems and rotary- and fixed-wing aircraft. The program's three phases run from an MVP/IOC phase in FY27-FY28 with multiple vendor prototyping, to a single IRAD effort in FY29, to an Enduring Capability phase in FY31-FY34. The stated path forward includes a MOSAIC Call for Solutions, industry questions and visits, and RFPs for selected partners.
