About this opportunity

The Department of the Army Corps of Engineers Engineering District Louisville has issued a Special Notice for an Industry Day event related to the construction of a new Area Maintenance Support Activity (AMSA) and Vehicle Maintenance Shop (VMS) at the Defense Logistics Center Richmond (DSCR) in Virginia. The project involves constructing a 15,100 square foot collocated facility on Defense Logistics Agency (DLA) owned land. The facility will include comprehensive features such as information systems, fire protection, energy monitoring systems, and supporting infrastructure like paving, vehicle wash racks, equipment loading ramps, and utility connections. The facility is designed to meet Army Reserve Design Guide standards, with a minimum 40-year life expectancy and incorporation of sustainability, energy efficiency, cybersecurity, and force protection measures.

The Industry Day is scheduled for February 19th, 2025, from 10:00 AM to 12:30 PM Eastern Time, located at 6090 Strathmore Rd. Richmond, VA. The event is open to large, small, and socio-economic businesses registered in the System for Award Management (SAM.gov) under NAICS code 236220 for Commercial and Institutional Building Construction. Interested contractors must register no later than February 12th, 2025, by providing specific details including company name, UEI, attendee names, driver's license numbers, and email addresses to Jeff Bickham. While this is not a formal solicitation, it represents an opportunity for potential contractors to learn about the project details and requirements. Following the presentation, an optional in-person site visit will be conducted. Contractors are advised that no reimbursement will be provided for attendance or information sharing, and maintaining an active SAM registration is crucial for potential contract eligibility.
