About this opportunity
Pacific Air Forces seeks supply and installation of one industrial gas dryer meeting specified salient characteristics, with proposals due September 9 and a prior requested delivery date of July 23. This is a 100% small business set-aside (NAICS 333310, size standard 1,000 employees); competition is restricted to certified small businesses.
Place of performance is Elmendorf AFB, Alaska. The dryer must match or exceed an American Dryer Corporation Model ADG410DD with 410-pound capacity, 1,400,000 BTU/hr heat input, 400–475 pound maximum load, 140 cubic foot minimum tumbler volume, 9,200 CFM airflow, and a minimum of six programmable cycles. Electrical specifications require 208–220V three-phase power with 100-amp circuit breaker and 50–60 Hz frequency. The unit must fit within existing space dimensions of 8'6"W x 6'6"D x 10'H, feature dual tilt capability (forward and backward), and connect to the facility's S.A.F.E. System water connection with 1-inch female pipe thread at 40–100 PSI. The contractor bears full responsibility for utility connections to existing gas, air, and electrical systems; removal and relocation of the old unit (requiring a 5,000–15,000 pound capacity forklift); commissioning, testing, and operator training; and all necessary utility modifications using qualified technicians. Equipment, parts, labor, and installation warranty minimums are specified in the solicitation; RUO marking is required at delivery. Unloading, base access, security, and delivery appointment management are contractor responsibilities.
Evaluation uses lowest-price technically acceptable (LPTA) with three factors: technical acceptability, delivery/installation capability, and price. Clarification questions and answers were posted September 2.
