About this file
This is a Product Specifications memorandum from the Department of the Air Force, 673d Air Base Wing at Joint Base Elmendorf-Richardson, Alaska, dated 30 June 2026, establishing technical requirements for the procurement of a replacement 410-pound capacity gas dryer. The memorandum is directed to the Contracting Office (673d CONS/LGCC) from the Facility Services Division (673 FSS/FSV) and serves as the baseline specification document for acquiring equipment functionally equivalent or superior to the existing American Dryer Corporation Model ADG410DD.
The required dryer must meet specific electrical specifications including 208-220V three-phase power with 100-amp circuit breaker capability and 50-60 Hz frequency. Performance requirements include 1,400,000 BTU/hr heat input, maximum load capacity of 400-475 pounds, tumbler volume of at least 140 cubic feet, 9,200 CFM airflow, and a minimum of six programmable cycles. Physical installation requirements specify rear exhaust dimensions of 24-28 inches, equipment that must fit within the existing space of 8'6"W x 6'6"D x 10'H, and dual tilt capabilities (forward and backward). The contractor is responsible for complete installation including all utility connections to existing gas, air, and electrical systems; removal and relocation of the old unit (requiring a forklift capable of lifting 5,000-15,000 pounds); and any necessary modifications to utilities using qualified technicians. The dryer must connect to the facility's S.A.F.E. System water connection with 1-inch female pipe thread at 40-100 PSI. Technical acceptability is limited to Susan Meyer, GS-09, Assistant Laundry Manager, or designated representatives; points of contact include Brenda Brown at brenda.brown.9@us.af.mil, (907)854-2429, and Susan Meyer at susan.meyer.1@us.af.mil, (907)384-1903.
