About this opportunity
Air Force Space Command is conducting a sources sought inquiry for Industrial Control Technician services at Buckley Space Force Base, with responses due by October 23, 2026. This is a Total Small Business set-aside. The procurement is for two positions: an Industrial Control Technician (ICT) and an Industrial Technician (IT), both requiring Secret security clearances at T3 level and unescorted base access via Defense Biometric Identification System cards.
The ICT role encompasses hands-on maintenance, configuration, and cybersecurity hardening of field-level operational technology infrastructure, including diagnosis and repair of electromechanical faults within control cabinets (PLCs, relays, I/O modules), troubleshooting network connectivity issues (BACnet/IP, Modbus TCP/IP), and implementing security controls such as firmware patches and default password changes. Quarterly physical security checks of control system enclosures and maintenance of secure repositories for field device logic backups are required deliverables. The IT position requires hands-on system administration for servers and workstations, installation and configuration of operational software applications, weekly data backups with restoration verification, user account management within Active Directory, DISA STIG compliance implementation, and vulnerability remediation with CAT I vulnerabilities resolved within 15 days and CAT II within 30 days. Contractor personnel must complete OPSEC training and adhere to standard working hours (7:30 A.M. to 4:30 P.M., Monday through Friday, excluding federal holidays). Monthly performance evaluation occurs through the Contracting Officer's Representative with corrective actions required within five workdays of non-compliance notification. A Quality Control Plan must be submitted within ten business days of award.
Interested vendors should contact the Primary Point of Contact identified in the posting.
