About this opportunity
The Department of the Navy Naval Supply Systems Command is seeking to procure 13 units of a pressure indicator (NSN 7R-6620-015300213-EE) with Technical Data Package Version 002 for delivery FOB Origin. This procurement is uniquely complex due to the flight-critical nature of the item and limited technical data availability. The government will only consider proposals from sources previously approved for this specific item, and potential bidders must submit comprehensive source approval documentation from the NAVSUP Weapon Systems Support (NAVSUP WSS) Source Approval Information Brochure. Contractors must demonstrate technical capability and provide detailed information about their production experience with similar items. The evaluation will focus on meeting qualification requirements in accordance with FAR clause 52.209-1, with a strong emphasis on technical competence and source approval. The response deadline for this pre-solicitation notice is March 21, 2025, with interested parties having 15 days to identify their capability to satisfy the requirement with a commercial item.
This pre-solicitation notice does not have a specific set-aside designation and does not mention incumbent contractors or precise award values. The quantity is explicitly stated as 13 units, with delivery expected at the origin point. While no specific budget range is provided, the procurement appears to be for a specialized, potentially high-value military component. The government has indicated that if source approval cannot be processed in time to meet requirements, they may still proceed with award based on fleet support needs. Interested parties must obtain necessary technical documentation from sources like the DoDSingle Stock Point and ASSIST-Online, with additional support available through the DODSSP ASSIST Help Desk. The procurement is categorized under PSC Category 6620 for Engine Instruments, suggesting this is a precision technical component critical to military equipment functionality.
