About this opportunity
The Naval Facilities Engineering Systems Command Southwest issued a firm fixed price blanket task order to KGJJ Engineering Solutions, LLC under Multiple Award Service Contract N62473-21-D-3604 as an urgent procurement necessitated by the suspension of the Government Commercial Purchase Card (GCPC) Program. The contract covers urgent and emergency services for Navy and Marine Corps installations in the San Diego Metro area, including facilities maintenance, certified restorations, welding, tree maintenance, elevator repairs, hazardous waste remediation, lighting and generator repairs, and base operations support. The sole source justification was based on KGJJ's current onsite presence and proven capability to perform emergency work quickly, with the contract awarded under the authority of FAR 16.505(b)(2)(i)(A) to address critically urgent needs that would result in unacceptable delays if standard fair opportunity procedures were followed. The period of performance extends 192 days, with a final end date of September 30, 2025, aimed at protecting personnel safety and preventing damage to mission-critical facilities. While the specific contract amount was not disclosed, the urgent nature of the procurement underscores the critical operational requirements for the Department of the Navy's facilities in the San Diego area.
