About this opportunity

The Department of the Air Force Space Command is seeking a contractor to perform inclinometer readings at Vandenberg Space Force Base in California. The primary objective is to monitor the stability of critical access roads supporting missile, space, and aircraft test missions. The contract requires performing two sets of readings on 13 existing inclinometers during the base year: one between September 1st and October 15th, and another between April 15th and May 31st. Contractors must be licensed geotechnical engineers or engineering geologists in the State of California, capable of taking readings at two-foot intervals in both north-south and east-west directions. The successful bidder will be required to submit detailed PDF reports within 10 business days of completing readings, including comprehensive findings, conclusions, and recommendations.

This contract is designated as a Total Small Business set-aside under the Surveying and Mapping Services NAICS category (541370). The inclinometers to be monitored range from 27 to 58 feet in depth, with two newly installed locations on Honda Ridge Road lacking historical data. The contract will be a Firm-Fixed Price arrangement, with the base year requiring two complete reading sets and subsequent years requiring one annual set between April 15th and August 1st. While specific award values are not disclosed in the pre-solicitation notice, the contract will cover technical services for monitoring ground stability across critical infrastructure access roads. The opportunity is open for responses until June 11, 2025, offering small businesses a chance to support essential Space Force infrastructure monitoring activities.
