About this opportunity
The Defense Threat Reduction Agency seeks proposals through its Broad Agency Announcement to advance capabilities for detecting and defeating improvised threats such as waterborne, person-borne, radio controlled, and buried improvised explosive devices. Proposals will be accepted on a rolling basis through August 2024 for projects at Technology Readiness Levels 2 through 6, and will undergo a two-phase review with invitations to submit full proposals issued following approval of initial white papers. Evaluation criteria will assess technical and scientific merit as well as potential contribution to DTRA's counter-improvised threat missions.
There is no set-aside designation for this opportunity. Research areas involve detection and defeat of improvised threats under NAICS code 541715 and PSC codes R425 and R408. Awards resulting from the Broad Agency Announcement will be contracts, other transaction agreements, or interagency agreements from August 2019 through September 2020. Project values and timelines will depend on individual proposals selected, with work to be performed at locations determined by each award.
