About this opportunity

The U.S. Department of Agriculture Forest Service, International Institute of Tropical Forestry, is soliciting technical services to support the Caribbean Climate Hub. The contractor will be responsible for establishing and maintaining stakeholder communications, preparing and delivering outreach materials, gathering information on climate change issues, and assisting with reporting. Key requirements include a Ph.D. in an agricultural or environmental field, fluency in English and Spanish, and 3-5 years of experience in program management, scientific writing, and working with diverse stakeholders. The contract will be awarded to the responsible offeror whose quote is most advantageous to the Government, price and other factors considered.

This 100% small business set-aside procurement has a NAICS code of 541620, Environmental Consulting Services, and a $19M size standard. The period of performance is anticipated to be October 1, 2024 through September 30, 2026, with a possible 6-month extension. Quotes are due by 11:59 PM Eastern Time on September 15, 2024 and should be submitted to the Contracting Officer. Travel to the US Virgin Islands twice per year is required.

To provide Technical Services support establishing and maintaining communications with stakeholders, preparing and delivering talks, factsheets, web content and other outreach materials describing the Hub goals and activities, gathering information on stakeholder issues and concerns related to climate change, and helping prepare reports for the national office.
