About this opportunity
The U.S. Geological Survey (USGS) - Pennsylvania Water Science Center intends to award a non-competitive, firm-fixed price Indefinite-Delivery Indefinite-Quantity (IDIQ) contract to ALS Group USA, Corp. in Middletown, Pennsylvania for environmental monitoring services at the Letterkenny Army Depot. The contract will involve analyzing groundwater, surface water, soil, and sediment samples from the depot's open burning/open detonation areas. The USGS has used ALS Group USA, Corp. for this work since 2016 and needs to maintain continuity of data, as switching laboratories would result in the loss of 8 years' worth of comparable data. The period of performance is July 1, 2024 through June 30, 2029, and the anticipated award date is June 24, 2024.
This is a sole source procurement, as ALS Group USA, Corp. is the only source reasonably available for the requirement. The NAICS code is 541380 (Testing Laboratories and Services) with a $19.0 million size standard. Responses must be emailed to Dayna Parkin at dparkin@usgs.gov, but this is for informational purposes only and not a request for competitive quotations. The Government intends to award this requirement non-competitively in accordance with FAR 13.106(b)(1).
