About this opportunity
The Air Force Research Laboratory at Wright-Patterson AFB issued a Notice of Intent to award a single-source purchase order to Markes International for thermal desorption tube conditioning equipment under FAR 12.201-2, with responses due by 30 July 2026 at 2:00 PM Eastern Time.
AFRL seeks two Markes International TC-30 Thermal Desorption Tube Conditioner units to support analytical laboratory operations. The equipment conditions thermal desorption sampling tubes for Thermal Desorption Gas Chromatography Mass Spectrometry (TD-GC-MS) analysis, assessing workplace chemical exposures to Volatile Organic Compounds and validating exposure control effectiveness. The TC-30 must condition up to 30 thermal desorption sampling tubes per cycle with integrated dry-purging capability to remove moisture, built-in charcoal filtration, fully adjustable temperature controls with user-programmable settings, and standard electrical requirements (100-240 V, 50-60 Hz, 600 W). Each unit includes a 12-month warranty. The government reserves discretion to conduct competitive procurement based on responses received. Submit responses via email to the contracting officer Chris Stokes at chris.stokes.1@us.af.mil with subject line "Thermal Desorption Conditioner." Only PDF, .doc, .docx, .xls, and .xlsx file formats are acceptable; .zip and .exe files will be deleted by email filters. NAICS code 334516; PSC 6640.
