NASA's Shared Services Center seeks a new hydraulic power unit for aircraft hydraulic system testing and servicing, with quotes due August 12, 2026 at 4:00 p.m. CT. The procurement is set aside for total small business.
Place of performance is Edwards Air Force Base, California, with FOB Destination delivery and an estimated arrival within 180 days. The equipment must support testing of hydraulic systems installed in F-18, King Air, TG-14, X-59, and T-34 aircraft. The hydraulic test stand must feature two independent systems (34 gpm System 1, 20 gpm System 2) with adjustable pressures up to 4,000 psi, a 3-phase softstart electric motor at 480 VAC 60 Hz, and a 90-gallon stainless steel reservoir with desiccant air filtration. The frame, powder-coated steel with forklift slots and heavy-duty casters, must not exceed 76 inches length by 90 inches width by 58 inches height and weigh maximum 5,000 pounds. The unit includes dual 2-micron absolute pressure filters, dual 5-micron absolute return filters, two large fluid coolers with 3-phase electric fans, comprehensive instrumentation (flow meters, pressure gauges, temperature shut-off switches, pyrometers), quick-disconnect hydraulic couplings, standard 25-foot pressure and return hoses, 50-foot input power cord, and operations, parts, and maintenance manuals.
