About this opportunity
The Drug Conduct Administration intends to award a sole-source purchase order to the Comfort Inn for 26 double-occupancy hotel rooms to house SIU #129 students from August 15 through September 12, 2026, with a capability statement deadline of July 23, 2026 at 12:00 p.m. Eastern Time. The Comfort Inn, located 8.4 miles from the DEA Training Academy and 450 feet from the Stafford Training Center, was selected based on proximity, accessibility, and availability; market research determined that competing hotels either lacked sufficient room inventory for the course dates or lack safe pedestrian access to campus amenities. The facility must appear on the List of Approved Hotels and Motels for Federal Travelers. Vendors who believe they can meet the requirement may submit a capability statement to Lori.A.Love@dea.gov; the Government retains sole discretion to determine whether to open the requirement to competition. The acquisition will proceed under FAR Part 12 as a firm-fixed-price purchase order. NAICS 721110 applies, with a $40 million business size standard. The redacted sole-source justification is attached to this notice.
