About this opportunity

The Air Force Special Operations Command (AFSOC) is seeking qualified contractors to provide inspection, preventative maintenance, and repair services for Hood and Duct Fire Suppression Systems and Automatic Fire Alarm Interconnect Systems across 18 facilities at Cannon Air Force Base in New Mexico. The contractor must possess at least five years of experience in this specialty and employ certified technicians capable of servicing wet chemical fire suppression systems from manufacturers including Ansul R-102, Denlar, and Pyrochem. Services must comply with NFPA Standard 96 and other applicable federal regulations, with semi-annual inspections scheduled for February and August, while unscheduled corrective maintenance must be completed within 24 hours of notification. Contractors are required to perform all work during standard business hours (7:00 AM to 4:00 PM, Monday through Friday, excluding federal holidays) and submit detailed service reports within seven days of completion. The pre-solicitation notice was posted on November 7, 2025, with an information deadline of November 14, 2025, though this is explicitly noted as a request for information with no contract anticipated to result from this notice.

This opportunity is designated as a Total Small Business set-aside, restricting competition to qualified small business entities. The Performance Work Statement indicates the contractor must coordinate with facility managers, follow strict notification procedures, and ensure all parts and repairs are procured through government purchase cards or contract modifications, with competitive quotes required for repairs exceeding $500. While specific award values and budget ranges are not disclosed in this pre-solicitation notice, the scope encompasses 19 different buildings across the installation, including dining facilities, youth centers, dormitories, and other operational structures requiring comprehensive fire suppression system maintenance. The nature of this notice as a pre-solicitation document means detailed procurement procedures and selection criteria have not yet been finalized, and interested parties should monitor for the formal solicitation release.
