About this opportunity
The Medical Readiness Contracting Office - Pacific, operating in support of Tripler Army Medical Center (TAMC) in Hawaii, intends to issue a brand name specific solicitation for Hologic Omni Hysteroscopes for the Department of Surgical Services. The procurement will utilize FAR 13.106-1(b)(1) authority, which allows the government to solicit from a single source when only one source is reasonably available for purchases under the simplified acquisition threshold. The procurement falls under NAICS code 339112 for Surgical and Medical Instrument Manufacturing. Potential respondents must submit comprehensive and detailed information to demonstrate their qualifications for supplying the required products. All questions and responses regarding this notice must be emailed to megumi.kuwada.civ@health.mil by April 23, 2025, with the understanding that the government is not obligated to acknowledge or provide feedback on submissions.
This pre-solicitation notice indicates no specific set-aside designation for the contract. The procurement does not currently specify a precise award value or budget range for the Hologic Omni Hysteroscopes. The contract will be administered by the Department of the Army Medical Command, a defense agency seeking medical instrumentation for surgical services. While the notice emphasizes that this is not a competitive quote request, respondents are advised that the government will use the submitted information to determine whether a competitive procurement is in its best interest. The notice explicitly states that no proprietary, classified, confidential, or sensitive information should be included in responses, and that the government is under no obligation to award a contract based on the information received.
