About this opportunity
The Food and Drug Administration seeks acquisition of one complete turnkey single-axis linear motion calibration system (shake table) for laboratory verification and validation testing of inertial measurement units, with quotations due September 3, 2026.
Place of performance is FDA White Oak Building 62, Room 1135, Silver Spring, Maryland. The system must be newly manufactured, commercial off-the-shelf equipment, fully assembled and factory-calibrated prior to shipment, requiring only unpacking, cable connection, and software installation by the end user. Mandatory minimum specifications include frequency range of 0.1 Hz to 10 Hz, displacement range of 0.01 mm to 20 mm, acceleration range of 0.01g to 1g, payload capacity of 0.05 kg, platform size of at least 50 mm × 50 mm, position accuracy of 2 percent of commanded value, position repeatability of 0.01 mm, frequency accuracy of 0.1 Hz or 1 percent, and position noise floor of 0.005 mm RMS. The system must include integrated position and acceleration sensors, closed-loop motion control, safety features, control software compatible with MATLAB and/or Python, calibration certificates, technical documentation, and all installation accessories. Delivery shall be completed within 90 days of award, and the contractor must provide a one-year warranty beginning on government acceptance.
