Services include developing use cases, identifying technical standards, and outlining pilot implementation requirements to increase data accessibility and scalability relating to Fast Healthcare Interoperability Resources. Proposals will be evaluated on a technical and business basis, with pricing determined by fully loaded hourly rates for labor categories. Responses are due by August 20, 2020.
The contract has no set-aside designation and will be performed domestically with a period of performance not to exceed one year. As a sole source award, the Colorado Regional Health Information Organization is the only potential awardee. Notice text
TITLE: HHS CONNECT INITIATIVE AND VISUALIZATION PLATFORM COVID-19 SUPPORT SERVICES
This requirement is to support COVID-19 Pandemic under the flexibilities authorized
in FAR Part 18. As such, this acquisition is being conducted as a sole source direct award to
Colorado Regional Health Information Organization, a non-profit organization.
An assessment of core competency of health information exchanges has demonstrated the need for an entity/organization who is able to electronically connect a wide range of health care entities to one another to support the appropriate sharing of electronic health information. ONC’s experience has shown that increasing connectivity has compounding beneficial effects, particularly when those efforts are technical standards-based. This contract is expected to provide use cases, identify technical standards development where appropriate, and outline requirements for pilot implementations to include increased data accessibility and scalability, especially as it relates to Fast Healthcare Interoperability Resources® (FHIR).
