About this opportunity

NASA's Shared Services Center issued a sole-source special notice for the procurement of a HEXAGON HP-L-10.10 Laser Scanner for NASA Langley Research Center with a capability statement deadline of October 15, 2026 at 7:00 a.m. Central Standard Time. The government has determined that Hexagon Manufacturing Intelligence, LLC is the sole provider of this equipment and intends to award under FAR 12.102(a) using commercial acquisition procedures. The procurement requires Hexagon-authorized personnel with access and authority to maintain system operability, ensure software licensing compliance, and provide OEM-certified calibrations; competing manufacturers' equipment would invalidate existing licenses and compromise certification traceability. Interested vendors must submit written capability statements referencing the Notice ID to Shanna L. Patterson (Shanna.L.Patterson@nasa.gov); quotes will not be considered at this stage. The government will evaluate responses solely to determine whether to conduct the procurement on a competitive basis, with final discretion remaining with the government. The deliverables include the complete HP-L-10.10T laser scanner system with accessories, PC-DMIS software license, ISO 10360-8 installation and functional verification, two days of training, and one-year hardware warranty. The need-by date for delivery and full installation is October 1, 2026, with performance at Langley Research Center. NAICS 334513; PSC 7A20. NASA FAR Supplement Clause 1852.215-84 (Ombudsman) applies.
