Update #2 · Latest ·
The United States Air Force's (USAF) Civil Engineering Center, Environmental Directorate, requires contractor's technical support for Hazardous waste management programs at Osan AB and Kunsan AB to ensure compliance with environmental regulations and minimize environmental impacts of USAF activities. Hazardous waste management support (HWMS) shall be conducted in accordance with the U.S. Forces Korea, Regulation 201-1, Environmental Quality, Environmental Governing Standards (KEGS) (U.S. Forces Korea, Headquarters, current version), which incorporate applicable federal and Republic of Korea (ROK) requirements. The Contractor shall provide support for all program components that includes: Hazardous Waste Management Plan (HWMP) implementation, management and operation of the Hazardous Waste Storage Area (HWSA), training, compliance assessment, recycling, and spill response. Optimize performance, reduce operating costs, and improve/sustain environmental regulatory compliance. Collaborate with other program managers to implement the installation's Environmental Inspection Program (EIP) initiatives including conducting periodic compliance assessments, development and presentation of briefing packages and compliance reports. This requirement will be funded for twelve months period at the time of contract award. Therefore, one base year plus four one-year optional items are set forth herein.
This is a recurring requirement so optional items will be issued by modification depending upon availability of funds.
The total contract value is estimated at approximately $2.5 million for five years. Failure to provide adequate HWMS services will result in produce and product spoilage within AF facilities, affecting none-compliance in federal, AF, USFK and ROK regulations and health and safety rules.
This is for Korean and U.S. firms.
