About this opportunity
The Department of the Air Force Air Combat Command is seeking to lease three hazardous materials gas detectors capable of monitoring at least five gases including oxygen, carbon monoxide, hydrogen sulfide, lower explosive limit, and volatile organic compounds. The procurement includes comprehensive equipment such as desktop chargers, docking stations, regulators, gas cylinders, and wall mounts, along with live virtual Wi-Fi-based commissioning and monitoring services that provide cloud-connected equipment monitoring, unlimited calibration gas replacement, maintenance, repair, and automated replacement of defective units. The contract structure includes a base period and four one-year option periods with a potential six-month extension, totaling up to 66 months of service. Awards will be made based on lowest total evaluated price and technical acceptability criteria. The original solicitation deadline was March 28, 2025, at 4:30 PM, but the procurement was subsequently cancelled and re-solicited under a different notice with modified terms.
This procurement was initially designated as a 100% set-aside for Women-Owned Small Businesses under NAICS code 334513 with a size standard of 750 employees, but was later cancelled and re-solicited as an unrestricted opportunity with HUBZone preference. No current contractors or incumbents are identified in the solicitation documents. While specific award values are not disclosed, the lease arrangement covers three identical gas detector units with associated equipment and comprehensive service packages including unlimited replacements and cloud-based monitoring. The equipment will be delivered within 30 calendar days of award to Seymour Johnson Air Force Base in Goldsboro, North Carolina, specifically to building 4601 at 2020 Jabara Avenue. The initial performance period was scheduled from April 4, 2025, to April 3, 2026, though these dates may be adjusted with the re-solicitation under the new notice.
