About this opportunity
The Naval Air Systems Command (NAVAIR) intends to award a sole-source Firm-Fixed-Price delivery order to The Boeing Company for procuring Harpoon Weapon Station (HWS) Joint Common Test Set (JCTS) and related support equipment for the Republic of Korea Navy through a Foreign Military Sales (FMS) contract. Boeing is being selected as the exclusive contractor due to its unique position as the sole designer, developer, manufacturer, and integrator of the Harpoon Weapon System, possessing proprietary technical data and specialized expertise. The contract is anticipated to be awarded in the last quarter of calendar year 2025, with a current solicitation notice posted on May 30, 2025, and responses due by June 14, 2025. The procurement is being conducted under the authority of FAR 6.302, which allows for negotiation with a single source. Boeing is the only contractor considered capable of meeting the government's specific technical requirements for this weapons system support effort.
The contract opportunity is not set aside for any specific business category and will be performed in St. Louis, Missouri, at Boeing's facility located at 6200 James S McDonnell Boulevard. The contract falls under the NAICS category of Guided Missile and Space Vehicle Manufacturing (336414) and the Product Service Code for Guided Missiles (1410). While specific award values were not disclosed, the contract is part of a Basic Ordering Agreement (BOA) N00019-21-G-0006 and will support the Republic of Korea Navy's weapons system requirements. Small businesses interested in potential subcontracting opportunities are encouraged to contact Chasity Strickland at Boeing. Interested parties can submit capability statements, with a requirement to copy NAVAIR representative Stephanie Midgett on any communications to ensure full transparency in the procurement process.
