About this opportunity
The Department of Veterans Affairs, Southern Nevada VA Healthcare System, issued a sole source intent notice on September 1, 2026, announcing its plan to award a firm-fixed-price contract to Technical Safety Services for specialized cleanroom certification, environmental monitoring, and testing services in multiple pharmacy and compounding areas. The estimated contract value is $164,396.48. The VA justifies sole source award on grounds that TSS is the only known vendor capable of providing all required semiannual, annual, and monthly testing services—including airflow and leak testing, particle counting, airflow visualization studies, viable air and surface sampling, room pressure and air exchange verification, laminar flow unit and isolator certification, and compliance documentation—while maintaining the integrated expertise, calibrated instrumentation, and operational knowledge necessary to perform testing without disrupting critical pharmacy operations. All services must comply with USP and CETA standards and VA healthcare performance requirements. Interested businesses may submit capability statements by September 15, 2026, at 12:00 PM Pacific Time demonstrating experience with USP and CETA-compliant testing, calibrated instruments, past performance with VA medical centers or similar healthcare facilities, ability to meet required service frequencies, and onsite availability in Southern Nevada. Submissions must include company name, UEI Number, and business size classification. The VA Sierra Pacific Network (VISN 21) Network Contracting Office is the contracting entity; contact Rachael Becker, Contract Specialist, at Rachael.Becker@va.gov.
