About this opportunity

The Naval Air Systems Command (NAVAIR) has awarded a Basic Ordering Agreement (N0001925G1000) to General Electric Company on October 1, 2025, to provide program management, engineering, depot standup, logistics support, and recurring and non-recurring requirements in support of CH-53K T408-GE-400 engines and associated support equipment. The agreement encompasses engineering development model (EDM) engines, system demonstration test article (SDTA) engines, low-rate initial production (LRIP) engines, full rate production (FRP) engines, foreign military sales (FMS) engines, and engine improvements, with services extending through September 30, 2030. The acquisition was pursued on a sole-source basis under 10 U.S.C. 3204(a)(1), as NAVAIR determined that General Electric is the only responsible source capable of satisfying these specialized requirements due to their unique corporate investments, technical expertise, and historical development of the CH-53K engine. The award notice does not specify a definite contract value, indicating this is a Basic Ordering Agreement structure where funding will be established through subsequent task orders using RDT&E, Aircraft Procurement Navy, Operations and Maintenance Navy, and Foreign Military Sales appropriations.
