About this opportunity
The Defense Contract Management Agency (DCMA) Fort Gregg-Adams, VA is preparing to procure GSA Approved Security Containers for storing Classified National Security Information across multiple Special Access Program Sites. The procurement is driven by a directive from the Information Security Oversight Office (ISOO) and General Services Administration to phase out security containers with "black labels" for classified information storage. The technical specifications require Class 6 Security Filing Cabinets in multiple size configurations (Letter, Legal, and Special Size), with options for one to five drawers and specific lock mechanisms like Kaba Mas X-10 and S&G 2740B. These containers must provide robust protection against covert and surreptitious entry, adhering to Federal Specification AA-F-358 and FF-L-2740. The pre-solicitation notice indicates a response deadline of May 19, 2025, with the procurement covering the period from now through 2028.
The contract is designated as a 100% Small Business Set-Aside, targeting Office Equipment Merchant Wholesalers under NAICS code 423420 and Product & Service Code 5335. While specific award values are not explicitly stated, the long-term procurement timeline suggests a potentially significant contract opportunity. The security containers will be available in multiple configurations, including gray, black, and parchment colors, with various drawer sizes and specialized accessories like laptop organizers and conversion rails. Potential vendors must be prepared to provide cabinets with precise dimensional specifications, specific National Stock Number codes, and options for different lock styles. The procurement aims to equip DCMA Special Programs with authorized and secure storage solutions for classified national security information across multiple sites within the Continental United States (CONUS).
