About this opportunity

The National Park Service Intermountain Region is conducting a Sources Sought market research posting to identify potential vendors for the purchase of three new snowmobiles for Grand Teton National Park. The snowmobiles will be used by Park Service Rangers during winter operations (November through May) for critical functions including mountain rescue, emergency response, and equipment transport with towing capability for rescue toboggans. Interested parties must submit capability statements and company information via email to the Contracting Officer, Kiara Stewart, at kiara_stewart@ios.doi.gov by April 24, 2026, at 10:00 a.m. Mountain Time, with responses limited to 10 pages. Responses must include organizational and staff capabilities relevant to the scope of work, a rough price estimate for government market research purposes, firm name and address, DUNS number, SAM registration status, and applicable SBA certification status. The government anticipates conducting a competitive procurement under one of the SBA's socioeconomic business programs and is seeking to identify the availability and capability of small businesses, including 8(a) small businesses, HUBZone small businesses, service-disabled veteran-owned small businesses, and woman-owned small businesses. It is important to note that this Sources Sought posting is for informational purposes only and does not constitute a formal solicitation or commitment by the Government to award a contract.

This opportunity carries no set-aside designation, and no incumbent contractor or current supplier information is identified in the pre-solicitation notice. The specific procurement requirement calls for three new 2025-2026 model Ski-Doo Summit Adrenaline Edge 850-154" X-3" snowmobiles or certified equivalents meeting Mountain and Deep Snow class specifications, featuring 2-cylinder, 2-stroke engines with 840+ cc displacement and Brembo disc rear brakes. Delivery must be completed by October 20, 2026, either through pickup by NPS personnel if equipment is located within 290 miles of Moose, Wyoming, or through contractor delivery to Grand Teton National Park in Moose, Wyoming, with the contractor responsible for all title work and dealership documentation. While the budget range is not explicitly stated in the notice, respondents are requested to provide rough price estimates for government market research purposes. The complete Statement of Work will be included with the formal solicitation, which has not yet been issued as of this pre-solicitation announcement.
