About this opportunity

NASA's Shared Services Center seeks GRS calibration services, with a deadline of June 22 at 4:00 p.m. Central Standard Time for interested organizations to submit capabilities and qualifications. NASA intends to issue a sole source contract to Crystal Instruments Corporation under FAR 12.102(a), determined to be the sole provider of GRS calibration services; however, the Government will evaluate submitted capabilities to determine whether to conduct the procurement on a competitive basis, with competition determination solely within Government discretion.

Performance is located at NASA Armstrong Flight Research Center (formerly Dryden), Edwards, California. The procurement requires calibration services for 25 ground recording system data acquisition components to ISO 17025 standards supporting NASA's Quesst mission, which uses the X-59 aircraft for supersonic flight tests measuring sonic boom levels on the ground. The period of performance is 30 days after contract award. Deliverables include 25 calibrated ground recording systems and calibration reports for each unit, provided under a Technology Service Agreement (one-year term) that includes software updates, hardware repairs, and ISO 17025 factory calibration with data, priced on a per-unit basis. Hardware repair coverage excludes replacement for units deemed beyond economic repair. No travel is required. The NAICS code is 334515, Instrument Manufacturing for Measuring and Testing Electricity and Electrical Signals; the PSC is J017. Commercial items or services acquisition procedures apply under FAR Part 12. Point of contact: Tracy Bremer, Procurement Specialist, tracy.g.bremer@nasa.gov.
