About this opportunity

The Indian Health Service's Navajo Area Kayenta Service Unit has issued a Special Notice regarding their intent to award a non-competitive contract for ground transport medical services. The agency plans to negotiate a six-month firm-fixed-price contract with Sacred Mountain Medical Service, Inc. for inter-facility non-emergent and emergent medical transport services. The services will support three facilities in the Kayenta, Arizona area: Kayenta Health Center, Inscription House Health Center, and Dennehotso Health Station. The agency has determined that Sacred Mountain Medical Service is uniquely qualified to provide these specialized medical transport services, which may include transportation outside the primary response area and intra-facility patient transfers to other IHS facilities. This notice falls under the ambulance services industry category and is specifically for medical transportation services.

The primary purpose of this Special Notice is to inform the marketplace of the government's intention to proceed with a sole-source procurement while providing an opportunity for other potential contractors to demonstrate their capabilities. Interested parties other than the pre-selected vendor have until 10:00 AM EDT on August 11, 2025, to submit capability statements electronically to the designated contracting officer. The government emphasizes that this notice is not a solicitation and they are under no obligation to acknowledge submissions or provide feedback to respondents. Any contractor wishing to be considered must submit their capability information via email only, as oral communications are not acceptable. The government retains full discretion to determine whether to conduct a competitive procurement based on the responses received, and no formal solicitation will be issued regardless of the outcome.
