About this opportunity
The Air Force Life Cycle Management Center (AFLCMC) Command, Control, Communications, and Battle Management (C3BM) Directorate at Wright-Patterson Air Force Base, Ohio is conducting market research via Request for Information (RFI) for Ground-Based Launcher solutions, with responses due August 14, 2026 at 1700 EST. This is market research only and does not constitute a commitment to issue an RFP or procure any supply or service.
The Government seeks industry information on ground-based launcher systems capable of engaging cruise missiles and Unmanned Aircraft Systems (UAS) Groups 1–5 threats. Respondents must address eleven critical baseline attributes: munition types, integrated sensor capability, laser illuminator inclusion, firing rate across all magazines, magazine depth, Command and Control (C2) system integration for sensor data dissemination and weapons cueing, bounding price point per system, transportability parameters, manpower requirements for sustained operation, automated Built-in Test (BIT) diagnostics, and weapon system specifications. Responses must detail how proposed concepts balance platform integrated sensing capabilities with rapid deployability requirements.
Responses are limited to ten pages (excluding cover page), must be submitted in PDF format using Times New Roman 12-point font with one-inch margins, remain unclassified with proprietary data clearly marked, and include comprehensive business information for the responding company and any teaming partners. Submissions must be sent electronically to Primary Contracting Officer Chris Core (christopher.core@us.af.mil) or Secondary Contracting Officer Heather Bakker (heather.bakker.1@us.af.mil). All interested contractors must be registered in SAM.gov to be eligible for future Government contracts. The Government reserves the right to consider a small business set-aside for any subsequent action.
