About this opportunity

This notice seeks capabilities statements from contractors to provide grease traps, sewage lift stations, and holding tanks maintenance services for Hurlburt Field in Florida. The Department of the Air Force Special Operations Command requires contractors to remove liquids, solids, grease, and debris from grease traps and lift stations on a scheduled basis. Interested parties must submit a five page capabilities statement by June 5, 2020 demonstrating their ability to meet the requirements outlined in the attached performance work statement, including pumping schedules and emergency response times.

The opportunity is set aside for total small business and has a NAICS code of 562998 for all other miscellaneous waste management services. The small business size standard is $8 million. Interested parties must be registered in SAM and submit their capabilities package to the point of contact by the stated deadline. This sources sought notice does not constitute a solicitation and no debriefings will be provided.

NOTICE:

This is a sources sought notice; there is no solicitation available at this time. Requests for solicitation will receive no response. This Sources Sought notice is published for market research purposes only. This market survey is conducted to identify potential sources capable of meeting the requirements for providing Grease Traps, Sewage Lift Stations & Holding Tanks Maintenance.  A draft Performance Work Statement (PWS) is included to provide respondents a better understanding of the needs of Hurlburt Field and the respondent's potential ability to meet the Government's requirements. Please keep in mind that the attached draft PWS does not define the final requirement.

DETAILS:

Firms responding to this announcement shall indicate whether they are a large or small business. All prospective contractors must be registered in the System for Award Management (SAM) database to be awarded a DoD contract. The National American Industry Classification System (NAICS) code for this action is 562998, All Other Miscellaneous Waste Management Services and the small business size standard $8M. Prospective contractors are cautioned to ensure that the proper NAICS code appears in SAM.  

All interested parties shall submit a capabilities package. Interested contractors shall submit up to a maximum 5 page capabilities document. The capabilities package shall be brief and concise, yet clearly demonstrate an ability to meet the stated requirements.

    Please note that some emails may be blocked; therefore, follow-up via telephone at (850) 884-1593 is strongly recommended to ensure receipt of your submission by the Government, if receipt was not already acknowledged.
     
    CONCLUSION:
     
    The Government will neither award a contract solely on the basis of this synopsis nor will it reimburse the contractor for any costs associated with preparing or submitting a response to this notice. This synopsis does not constitute a Request for Quote/Proposal, nor does this issuance restrict the Government's acquisition approach. The Government reserves the right to reject in whole or part any industry input as a result of this announcement. If the Government decides to award a contract for this effort, a solicitation will be issued at a later date.
