About this opportunity

The Department of the Air Force Air Combat Command at Moody AFB is seeking a contractor to conduct repair and restoration of two three-bedroom modular cabins (Cabin L and Cabin M) located at Grassy Pond recreational facility following Hurricane Helene damage. The comprehensive restoration work includes porch screen replacements, door and trim repairs, cedar siding replacement with Sherwin Williams Aurora Brown color matching, cabin leveling, sheetrock repair, skirting work, and various structural improvements to restore the cabins to their pre-damaged condition. Contractors must supply all necessary equipment including PPE, dumpsters, and portable restrooms, and provide a standard one-year warranty upon completion. The evaluation criteria will consider technical capability, lowest price technically acceptable approach, and past performance, with offerors required to submit a detailed action plan outlining their work execution strategy. A mandatory site visit was conducted on May 7, 2025, at 1000 hours, with questions originally due by May 9, 2025, though the solicitation timeline has been extended to May 28, 2025, and proposals are due by August 13, 2025.

This opportunity is designated as a 100% Small Business Set-Aside under solicitation number FA483025R0009, restricting competition to qualifying small businesses. No incumbent contractors or current service providers are mentioned in the solicitation documentation. While specific contract values or budget ranges are not disclosed in the available materials, the scope involves detailed restoration work on two separate cabin structures requiring specialized equipment and materials. The work will be performed at Grassy Pond recreational facility located at 5360 Grassy Pond Road, Lake Park, Georgia 31636, which is associated with Moody Air Force Base recreational services. The contract will be executed under FAR Part 12 commercial items procedures, indicating the government views this as a commercial service procurement rather than a specialized government-unique requirement.
