About this opportunity

Naval Sea Systems Command is conducting market research to identify qualified commercial HVAC contractors capable of providing retrofit solutions for an existing facility, with responses due by October 8, 2026. No set-aside is contemplated.

The Government prioritizes maximizing existing building infrastructure where technically feasible rather than performing unnecessary demolition or complete replacement. Contractors must demonstrate experience evaluating existing HVAC infrastructure and developing retrofit solutions that incorporate or interface with existing ductwork, electrical systems, controls, structural components, roof/wall penetrations, condensate systems, and mechanical spaces. Capability to conduct site surveys and recommend technically acceptable solutions is required, including analysis of equipment sizing, zoning, energy efficiency, compatibility with existing systems, controls integration, installation requirements, and long-term maintainability.

This is a market research effort under NAICS 238220 (Plumbing, Heating, and Air-Conditioning Contractors) and PSC Z2JZ (Repair Or Alteration Of Miscellaneous Buildings). The specific location of the facility, anticipated contract value, and timing of subsequent solicitation are not disclosed in this notice.
