About this opportunity

Air Mobility Command's Aircraft Maintenance Group at MacDill Air Force Base intends to solicit nine gas-powered golf carts, with an anticipated award date of September 30, 2026, under a Total Small Business set-aside that will not be posted to SAM.gov.

The procurement requires Cushman Shuttle 4 golf carts (Part Number 618851G) or equivalent low-speed vehicles meeting detailed specifications: minimum 1,200-pound payload capacity with utility bed, minimum four seats, maximum 15 mph top speed, small turning radius, durable construction resistant to chemicals and oil, and safety features including roof, windshield, and DOT-compliant lighting. The Statement of Need, dated February 27, 2026, documents that existing vehicles have exceeded their operational life cycle, creating significant inefficiencies—maintenance personnel experience approximately 30-minute average wait times per task across approximately 37,524 annual maintenance actions, totaling approximately 1,125,720 hours of movement waste annually. The replacement vehicles will support up to 300 personnel across three shifts.

Delivery is required to 7415 Hangar Loop Drive, MacDill Air Force Base, Florida 33621 within 60 days of contract award. The procurement is classified under NAICS Code 336999 and PSC Code 2310. Vendor warranty must cover drivetrain, electrical, workmanship, and major component defects; the 927 MXG will assume responsibility for inherent maintenance services.

A critical caveat: funds are not presently available. No award will be made until funding is secured, and the Government reserves the right to cancel the solicitation before or after the closing date without obligation to reimburse offerors for costs incurred. Contact Contracting Specialist Jill Warye (jill.warye@us.af.mil) or Contracting Officer David Lovett (david.lovett@us.af.mil).
