About this opportunity

The Department of the Air Force Pacific Air Forces is conducting market research for a Giant Voice System Cable Relocation project at Andersen Air Force Base in Guam. The project involves rerouting radio frequency antenna connection and conduit cables from a temporary location to a permanent conduit solution, with specific technical requirements including cable relocation approximately 44 feet above ground level and installation near a single-story building. Potential contractors must demonstrate technical expertise in electrical contracting, with preference for a Federal Signal Certified Contractor, though the opportunity is open to full and open competition. The sources sought notice is designed to gather information about potential contractors' capabilities, with responses required to be submitted by email to Ms. Crystal Pryde and Ms. Lauren Reyes by January 14, 2025. Respondents must provide company details including primary point of contact, business size, CAGE/UEI codes, and any existing federal contract vehicles.

The pre-solicitation notice does not indicate a specific set-aside designation, meaning all businesses can compete for the opportunity. The anticipated NAICS code is 238210 for Electrical Contractors and Other Wiring Installation Contractors, suggesting the project will require specialized electrical work. While no specific budget or award value is mentioned, the detailed technical requirements indicate a complex infrastructure project involving precise cable relocation and grounding procedures. Contractors will need to demonstrate capability to work at height, potentially using bucket trucks, and verify GPS antenna positioning and lightning protection ground cable installation. The project's location at Andersen Air Force Base in Guam suggests potential logistical challenges that contractors will need to address in their capability statements.
