Additional requirements include re-testing of failed or questionable results at no cost to the Government, provision of raw data and reproducible assay information, online bioinformatics database hosting with password protection and Section 508 compliance, and an XML interface capability with the NIA Progeny Database. The Government is particularly interested in responses from small business sources, including HUBZone, service-disabled veteran-owned, 8(a), veteran-owned, woman-owned, and small disadvantaged businesses. This is a Sources Sought Notice with a response deadline of February 16, 2026, at 9:00 a.m. Eastern Time, submitted electronically to Scott Duernberger at scott.duernberger@nih.gov in Microsoft Word or Adobe PDF format, limited to ten pages excluding cover page, executive summary, and references.
This pre-solicitation notice contains no set-aside designation, and no incumbent contractor is identified in the available documentation. The anticipated contract volume includes a minimum of 25,200 samples and a maximum of 37,200 samples per contract period, with the contractor responsible for providing collection and storage supplies, six-month sample storage and preservation, shipping costs, and minimum three-times-per-week sample pickups using a contractor-provided dropbox. The period of performance consists of one 12-month base year with four optional 12-month years, extending the potential contract duration to five years. Specific award values or budget ranges are not disclosed in the notice. Interested contractors should note that this Sources Sought Notice does not obligate the Government to award a contract and that responses will not be considered formal proposals or quotations, but rather will inform the Government's market research and solicitation strategy.
