Update #1 ·

The Defense Energy Support Center (DESC), Aerospace Energy Business Unit, plans an Industry Forum on March 4, 2009 at 9:00 AM in San Antonio, Texas, relative to future acquisitions of Gaseous Helium (Bulk), Type 1, Grade A. The purpose of this forum is to invite industry participation and input as DESC prepares a new acquisition strategy for Gaseous Helium and ancillary services to support Continental United States (CONUS) requirements through 2012. DESC anticipates a solicitation being issued within 2 months after the Industry Forum. Specifically, the Government is seeking input from industry on the major issues relative to the development of an acquisition strategy for this major procurement.

Interested participants should provide a list of attendees to the DESC Contract Specialist on or before February 26, 2009. Participants may also meet with the Government after the Industry Forum on a one-on-one basis, for a period not to exceed 1 hour, if desired. Discussions during these special one-on-one meetings will be limited to industry input only relative to topics discussed in the Industry Forum. No discussions beyond the Government obtaining additional input from industry on the specific topics addressed will be permitted. Lastly, industry will be encouraged to submit written input and/or recommendations after the forum.
