About this opportunity
The Department of the Air Force Global Strike Command's 767th Enterprise Sourcing Flight at Barksdale AFB is seeking to procure Gas Detection System components through a firm-fixed price purchase order utilizing commercial and simplified acquisition procedures under FAR Parts 12 and 13. The procurement involves Smart Gas Detection Transmitters, Horn/Strobes, Power Supplies, and Shielded Cable for installation across three Air Force bases. Offerors must complete pricing tables in Attachment 2 and an evaluation table in Attachment 1, with written quotes required and oral offers not accepted. The evaluation will be conducted under FAR Part 13 procedures, focusing on technical capability and price fairness/reasonableness, with quotes initially ranked from lowest to highest price before technical evaluation. The original quote deadline of September 19, 2025 was extended to September 18, 2025 at 11:59 PM CDT through Amendment 0003, and questions were due by September 15, 2025.
This opportunity is designated as a 100% Small Business Set-Aside under NAICS code 334515 with a size standard of 750 employees, and there is no incumbent contractor as this represents a brand new requirement. The procurement covers equipment delivery only, with the government handling installation at F.E. Warren AFB (26 units), Malmstrom AFB (30 units), and Minot AFB (30 units). No award values or budget ranges have been disclosed in the solicitation documentation. A critical constraint exists as funds are not presently available for this contract, making the government's obligation contingent upon future appropriated fund availability, with no legal liability arising until funding is confirmed in writing by the Contracting Officer. Performance will occur at Barksdale AFB, Louisiana, with equipment deliveries to the three specified Air Force installations.
