About this opportunity
The Department of Agriculture Forest Service is seeking a contractor to perform maintenance work on campground barriers within a forest service recreation location. The project involves removing existing concrete and log barricades and installing large boulders as natural safety barriers. The primary objectives are to maintain campground safety and functionality by replacing outdated barriers with strategically placed rock installations. This procurement will be executed through a blanket purchase agreement (BPA) call request under the Forest Service Region 6 Road and Bridge Construction BPA. While specific evaluation criteria are not detailed in the pre-solicitation notice, the project requires precise placement and installation of barrier rocks according to provided drawings and location plans.
The contract opportunity is designated as a total small business set-aside, with an estimated value between $25,000 and $100,000. The work falls under the Highway, Street, and Bridge Construction NAICS category (237310) and the Maintenance of Parking Facilities PSC category. Importantly, this is an informational notice only and not a request for quotes, and the Forest Service is not seeking to add new contractors to the existing BPA at this time. The project will involve collecting, hauling, and strategically placing barrier rocks to conform with specified site plans. The pre-solicitation notice was posted on May 27, 2025, signaling an upcoming solicitation for this maintenance project.
