About this opportunity
The Department of the Navy Strategic Systems Programs has awarded a sole-source contract to General Dynamics Mission Systems (GDMS) in Pittsfield, Massachusetts for the FY26-FY27 Fire Control Omnibus Contract (N0003026C1005) valued at $740,443,828. The contract covers development, production, sustainment, modernization, repair, installation, training, and technical engineering services for the Strategic Weapon System Fire Control Subsystem supporting U.S. Navy and United Kingdom ballistic missile submarines (SSBN) and attack submarines (SSGN), specifically for the TRIDENT II Fire Control System and Advanced Weapon Control System. The contract is structured on a Cost-Plus-Incentive-Fee, Cost-Plus-Fixed-Fee, and Cost-Only basis with performance extending from October 1, 2025 through June 1, 2033. GDMS was selected as the sole responsible source due to its over 50 years of specialized experience, unique technical expertise, and proprietary knowledge, with the contracting officer determining that competing the work would result in approximately $266.9 million in unrecoverable duplication costs and cause detrimental delays of two to three years for transition to an alternate source.
