About this opportunity

The Naval Sea Systems Command (NAVSEA) intends to award a sole-source contract to Lockheed Martin Rotary and Mission Systems (LM RMS) in Moorestown, New Jersey for AEGIS Weapon System (AWS) hardware production covering fiscal years 2026-2030. The procurement includes AEGIS Warhead Data Receiver Cabinets (WDRCs), AEGIS Linear Processing Systems (ALPS), AEGIS Combat System Support Equipment (ACSSE), Electronic Equipment Fluid Coolers (EEFC), spare parts, and engineering support to fulfill both United States and Foreign Military Sales requirements. NAVSEA justifies the sole-source approach under 10 U.S.C. 3204(a)(1), stating that LM RMS is the only responsible source with the requisite knowledge and technical capability to meet the Navy's requirements within the required delivery timeframes. While this is not a request for competitive proposals, interested parties may express their interest and capability within fifteen days of the notice publication date of October 14, 2025, with responses due by October 29, 2025. The government will consider all submissions received within this timeframe solely to determine whether to conduct a competitive procurement instead.

This procurement does not utilize any set-aside designations and explicitly identifies Lockheed Martin Rotary and Mission Systems as the intended sole-source contractor due to their unique technical expertise and capabilities. The contract structure includes a base period plus four option periods to cover FY26-30 requirements for ALPS and WDRC components, while EEFC and ACSSE equipment will be covered under a base period with one option period. No specific award values or budget ranges are disclosed in this pre-solicitation notice. All costs associated with any submissions or expressions of interest will be borne entirely by the submitting parties, with no reimbursement from the government. Companies interested in subcontracting opportunities are directed to contact Lockheed Martin directly, as indicated in the truncated notice text.
