About this opportunity
The 42d Contracting Squadron at Maxwell Air Force Base is seeking sources to provide an operational fan system for Squadron Officer School, with feedback submission due by August 3, 2026. No set-aside applies.
The system will be installed at Building 1446, Lemay Plaza, Maxwell AFB, Alabama. The procurement encompasses procurement, installation, and commissioning of 19 industrial-grade fans with 22-inch propeller diameters and 3/4 HP single-phase motors (115/230V, 60 Hz), galvanized aluminum propellers with polypropylene housings, and spiral-wound steel finger guards. Equipment must be brand new; refurbished or remanufactured items are not authorized. The contractor must supply OEM-compatible column and wall mounting kits for all 19 fans and deliver a centralized control system with outdoor-rated enclosure featuring start, stop, emergency stop, and reset pushbuttons to enable simultaneous fan operation.
Installation responsibilities include site survey, securing fans to the building structure, completing all electrical work in compliance with the National Electric Code through a licensed electrician, and conducting functional testing with government representatives present. The contractor must provide operator training on the control system and deliver manufacturer warranty documentation prior to project acceptance. Standard OEM commercial warranties apply at no cost, with the warranty period beginning upon final acceptance.
Contractor access to the installation requires compliance with Air Force identification, vehicle pass, traffic regulation, and health and safety protocols. Points of contact are Stephen Wade (334-953-5894) and Tamar Selmi (334-953-1522) at SOS/OD.
The Sources Sought and draft Statement of Requirements are available as attachments; submissions will inform acquisition strategy development.
