About this opportunity
The Department of the Air Force Air Mobility Command, specifically the 319th Contracting Squadron at Grand Forks Air Force Base, is conducting market research to identify potential contractors for Furnishings Management Services (FMS). The government seeks companies capable of providing comprehensive management of dormitory and fire department furnishings, with a focus on small businesses, including 8(a), HUBZone, and Service-Disabled Veteran-Owned (SDVO) small businesses. Interested firms must submit a capabilities package demonstrating technical compliance with the Draft Furnishing Management Performance Work Statement, which includes detailed requirements for furniture management, budget planning, and maintenance. Responses must be submitted electronically by January 20, 2025, at 16:30 Central Standard Time, using specific email guidelines and subject line requirements. The evaluation will consider the firm's ability to meet service specifications, size status relative to the NAICS code 561210 (Facilities Support Services), and socio-economic classification.
The pre-solicitation notice indicates no definitive set-aside has been made, but the government reserves the right to implement a small business set-aside based on received responses. The contract involves managing furnishings for 394 rooms across 5 dormitories, with key responsibilities including preparing furnishing budgets, managing Change of Occupancy Maintenance (COM), and tracking dormitory information in the Enterprise Military Housing system. The size standard for the NAICS code is $47 million, and all prospective contractors must be registered in the System for Award Management (SAM) database. Respondents are required to disclose their ownership status, including any foreign ownership or use of foreign national employees. The government emphasizes that this sources sought notice is not a commitment and will not reimburse any costs associated with response submission. Firms are encouraged to provide a concise yet comprehensive capabilities package that clearly demonstrates their ability to meet the stated requirements.
