About this opportunity

The United States Army Medical Research Acquisition Activity (USAMRAA), on behalf of the United States Army Medical Research and Development Command (USAMRDC), has issued a Special Notice for a sole source contract to procure various burn assessment manikins and associated accessories. The requirement is being issued on a sole source basis to Anatomical Worldwide, LLC, as their products are the only ones that meet the minimum essential characteristics for the United States Army Institute of Surgical Research (USAISR).

The purpose of this Special Notice is to inform the market of the government's intent to award a sole source contract to Anatomical Worldwide, LLC for the purchase of four human adult full-body burn assessment manikins, four fiberglass dock boxes, a burn simulation kit, an anatomy model of normal and burn skin, and two burn skin moulages. The Special Notice outlines the NAICS code for the requirement and instructs any sources that believe they can provide the required items without duplicating the time and cost already invested to respond in writing with clear and convincing evidence of their capability by June 5, 2024. The government will consider any responses received solely for the purpose of determining whether a competitive procurement is in its best interest.
