About this opportunity
The Department of the Navy Naval Supply Systems Command is seeking to procure 104 aircraft fuel cells, identified by National Stock Number 7R-1680-014827143-V2, with delivery specified as FOB Origin. The procurement will follow reference number 901-366-303-102 and requires interested parties to obtain necessary military specifications and standards through the DoD Single Stock Point (DODSSP). Qualification requirements will be a critical component of the award process, with the government explicitly stating that award will only be made if the offeror, product, service, or manufacturer meets specific qualification standards. Potential vendors must submit their interest and capability to satisfy the government's requirements within 15 days of the pre-solicitation notice, with a hard deadline of March 2, 2025, for responses. The solicitation does not follow FAR Part 12 policies for commercial item acquisition, indicating a specialized procurement approach.
The pre-solicitation notice does not indicate any specific set-aside designations, suggesting the opportunity is open to a broad range of contractors. While the exact award value is not specified, the procurement involves 104 individual fuel cell units, which implies a potentially significant contract value. Interested parties can access required documentation through ASSIST-Online, with multiple contact methods available including a help desk phone number (215-697-2667) and mailing address for those without internet access. The procurement falls under the PSC Category 1680 for Miscellaneous Aircraft Accessories and Components, signaling a specialized technical requirement. Vendors must be prepared to demonstrate comprehensive compliance with military specifications and potential qualification standards, which will be a key evaluation criteria for this contract opportunity.
